Part 1: What's Camera Tracking in Blender? While camera tracking is a little confusing in the blender for beginners, a suitable tutorial will make it easy, and today’s article is all about it. It forms an integral part of post-production. Simple things become "user misunderstandings" instead of intuitive.Blender Camera tracking is the perfect mix of artistic and technical skill to reproduce the camera path, followed by a real-time camera. I'm sure there's something silly I'm missing in there, but it just continues to be blender's occasionally dense interface. And for whatever reason I couldn't grab the clip ends and g move them. Even without hard cutting and having it set to length affects speed, I could not seem to resize the clip. I just had to re-hard-cut my previous places. I fooled around with the checkmarks but the difference between speedup and speed factor made no sense to me. It just pulled more footage from the end of the "soft" cut. But setting the speed to 2.0 did not shrink my clip to half it's length as one would expect. I had already cut at the in and out points of the clip. Picked the speed control thing, and it just got more annoying. I recently had a frustrating situation where I had a short clip I needed to speed up. Coming from FCP, it's a little frustrating, but I don't have very heavy editing needs anymore. I use it when I have the occasional video to edit.
